In the Words of Ruth Reeve
Every Wednesday morning during the school year, parishioners gather to study God’s Word together. For Ruth Reeve, this weekly gathering has been part of her life since 1998, when she first joined to deepen her spiritual life and to meet new people after moving from Pittsburgh. “Both of these goals have been obtained. I now have some very good friends from this wonderful gathering.” What keeps Ruth coming back week after week is more than just the lessons. Each session challenges participants to reflect on different aspects of the Catholic faith and to consider how Scripture applies to their daily lives. “The people in this group are kind, caring, and supportive. Their faith encourages me to grow alongside them.” Bible Study has also strengthened Ruth’s connection to the parish. Seeing familiar faces at Mass and sharing her faith journey with friends in the group has helped her feel more at home in the parish family. Wednesday Morning Bible Study has become a space where friendships have grown alongside faith. For Ruth and many others, Bible Study is more than a weekly meeting. It is a place where Scripture comes alive, faith is nurtured, and community is formed — a reminder that no one walks their faith journey alone.
