Our Lady of Light Family Picnic

Sunday, August 23 at the St. Francis of Assisi Campus

Join us for our third annual Our Lady of Light Family Picnic! Enjoy the company of our brothers and sisters from both Incarnation and St. Francis of Assisi campuses. Our Parish Picnic will begin with an outdoor Mass at 11:30am at the St. Francis of Assisi Campus, followed by a free picnic for all parishioners.

To provide the opportunity for everyone come together for the Outdoor Mass and the OLL Family Picnic, there will be no 12:00 PM Mass at Incarnation and no 5:30 PM Mass at St. Francis on Sunday, August 23. We hope to see you there for a great day of worship and fellowship!

Please note: The entrances off of Wilmington Pike will be closed. Please enter the campus from Clyo Rd. or Center Point Drive via Wilmington Pike (at the light near Wes Banco and 5/3 Bank). Overflow parking will be available at the Sinclair Campus adjacent to the St. Francis Campus.

Picnic FAQs

Is there a cost?

No. The Parish Picnic is completely free to attend, and the meal is provided at no cost.
New this year: Our Scout troop will be hosting a FREE Ice Cream Sundae Bar for everyone to enjoy! While there is no charge, the Scouts will gladly accept freewill donations to help offset the cost of the ice cream and supplies. Any proceeds will directly support the troop and its activities.

Do you have to be a parishioner to attend?

No! The Parish Picnic is open to everyone. Whether you're a parishioner, a neighbor, a friend, or visiting for the first time, you're welcome to join us. Feel free to invite your family, friends, and neighbors—we'd love to have you with us!

What is on the menu?

We'll be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, chips, and cookies. Grain-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options will also be available.
Water and lemonade will be provided, and don't forget to stop by our FREE Ice Cream Sundae Bar, hosted by the Scout troop!

Do I have to RSVP?

No! There is no need to RSVP. Just come and enjoy an afternoon of great food, fun, fellowship, and entertainment with your parish family and friends.

How can I volunteer to help?

We'd love to have you join the team! Volunteers are needed for setup and tear-down, parking, food service, hospitality, Adoration, and helping with games and activities for children and adults. There's a place for everyone—and you just might have fun while you're at it!

Where do I park?

Parking is available on the St. Francis campus, and parking attendants will be on-site to direct you where to park. We encourage you to arrive early, as on-campus parking fills quickly.
Please note: The entrances to the campus from Wilmington Pike will be closed during the picnic. Enter the campus from Clyo Road or from Center Point Drive (accessible from Wilmington Pike at the traffic light near WesBanco and Fifth Third Bank).
Once the St. Francis parking lots are full, overflow parking will be available at the adjacent Sinclair campus. A short walking path connects the Sinclair and St. Francis properties, making it an easy walk to the picnic. Shuttle service will also be available, with staff transporting guests between the Sinclair parking lot and the St. Francis campus throughout the event.

Where is handicap parking?

Accessible parking will be available in both parking lots on the St. Francis campus, and parking attendants will be on-site to direct you to the appropriate locations.
Please enter the campus from Clyo Road or from Center Point Drive (accessible from Wilmington Pike at the traffic light near WesBanco and Fifth Third Bank).
If the St. Francis parking lots are full, overflow parking will be available at the adjacent Sinclair campus. For those who are unable to use the walking path connecting the two campuses, staff will be providing golf cart transportation between the Sinclair parking lot and the picnic grounds.

Where can I get information on the day of the picnic if I have questions?

Directional and informational signage will be posted throughout the St. Francis campus to help you find your way.
If you have questions or need assistance, stop by the Welcome Tent near the main parking lot. Our hospitality team will be happy to provide information, directions, and answer any questions you may have.
