Marriage

When God loves, He loves us fully. In marriage, we make a vow to our spouse to love one another as God loves us. It is a commitment to stand by one another through good times and bad, through sickness and health. Whether you are preparing for marriage, or have been married for 60 years, our parish staff is praying for you and your spouse so that you find strength and peace in your union.

What does marriage preparation look like at Our Lady of Light?

To guide you through marriage preparation with Our Lady of Light, please refer to this general overview:

• Contact the parish office of the church you wish to be married at at least six months before your wedding.
• Meet with a member of our clergy.
• Connect with a mentor couple to walk alongside you during the Fully Engaged program.
• Attend a Genesis Retreat with your fiancé. ​
