Service Ministries
If we wish to serve God and love our neighbor well, we must manifest our joy in the service we render to Him and them. Let us open wide our hearts. // St. Katharine Drexel
There are several key themes in Catholic Social Teaching that drive how we live out our faith with love and justice. These themes include life and dignity of the human person, care for God's creation, care for those who are poor and vulnerable, and solidarity as one human family.
The service ministries found at Our Lady of Light provide outreach and service towards all of God's creation. They are committed to the mission of Catholic Social Teaching: to truly love one another as God loves us.

PRECIOUS PLANET MINISTRY
The mission of the Precious Planet Ministry is to protect God's creation, inspired by the themes found in Catholic Social Teaching. Precious Planet Ministry promotes opportunities for learning how to be thoughtful stewards of creation, and challenges parishioners to make changes in their daily lives in order to create a sustainable future for all people of the world.

RESPECT LIFE
As stewards of human creation, we acknowledge that every life is sacred from the moment of conception until a natural death. We are called to defend the dignity of each human being at every stage and work together in building a culture of life and a civilization of love. We strive to change hearts and laws to defend life.
