Preparing Our Youth for the Sacraments

The sacraments our children prepare for allow them to learn of God's mercy and love, while encouraging them to go out into the world, serving Christ and the community. If your child is ready to receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation, please visit the pages below to learn more and begin their sacramental preparation.

Baptism

Whether your child is newly born or preparing for First Communion and hasn't been baptized, we are excited to welcome them into the Catholic Church through the sacrament of Baptism.

First Communion (+ First Reconciliation)

At Our Lady of Light, students celebrate First Communion in the spring of 2nd grade. Throughout First Communion preparation, students also prepare for First Reconciliation and receive the sacrament of Reconciliation before their First Communion.

Confirmation

Confirmation preparation at Our Lady of Light begins in 6th grade and culminates with celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall of 8th grade.
