Advent and Christmas 2024

In 2025, the Catholic Church is embracing the Jubilee Year with the theme of Pilgrims of Hope, as announced by Pope Francis. The 2025 theme The theme signifies a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of COVID-19 pandemic, and the climate crisis.

As Advent leads into the new year, Our Lady of Light Family of Parishes has adopted the theme "Dawn of Hope" for the 2024 Advent season. Hope is based on our relationship with Christ, nourished, supported and deepened in the Eucharist. We invite you to join us throughout this Advent season, both during the Mass and at our special events. Find rest in Jesus and in our community this season, and prepare your hearts to place your hope in Him.

Weekly Reflection

Picture
Week Four | December 22, 2024

The Our Father is the summary of everything that hope leads us to desire. (CCC 1820)

“As we repeat the Our Father so many times daily … let us delight in it and strive to learn from so excellent a Master the humility with which he prays.” // St. Teresa of Avila

✦As I reflect on the humility of Jesus’ birth, which line or petition in the Our Father leads me to hope in His promises?
